One, um... one... uh... DisOrDat.
But, soft! What light through yonder graphics card breaks? A Canadian university has developed a Shakespeare-themed video game, knowing that the way to kids’ hearts is through their controllers. So, instead of getting poisoned at the end, Hamlet finds a power-up, becomes ten feet tall and pulls out Laertes’ still-beating heart through his mouth. See kids? Shakespeare is COOL! So ready thyself, because I’m going to read you a list of seven titles. For each one, I want you to tell me if it’s... # a Shakespeare play, or... # a video game. Be it... % Shakespeare, # press 1. Be it... % video game, # press 2. To skip it anon, press 4. Each right answer collects 250 All’s Wells. Answer wrong and I collect 250 pounds of flesh. Um... ew. Anyway, you’ve got thirty seconds. % Finish before the curtain for a bonus. It’s showtime. Questions: Pericles Everquest Henry V Caesar IV Neverwinter Nights Troilus and Cressida

7/7 My entire college

7/7

My entire college education was a preparation for this game. Really. All I remember is reading plays and playing video games. (Wait--wasn't there a DoD: Shakespeare Character, Beer or Both? Also a good use of my education.)

I am glad I have lived up to the moment. My score should have been higher, but I was being careful with the buttons. I could not bear to miss an answer on this.

PS I KNEW there would be Roman numerals involved.

7/7! Yes! Although, as a

7/7! Yes! Although, as a former English major and a former and current geek...anything less and I would have to commit Hari-Kari.

I agree with the above post.

I agree with the above post. My entire life as a nerd would have had no meaning if I had boned a Dis or Dat about the Bard AND video games.

Of course dj HaQ will come

Of course dj HaQ will come along and knock me off the #1 spot like he usually does. But for the moment I will savor being top of the heap.

Yeah, I agree with everyone

Yeah, I agree with everyone who says a nerd's life would have no meaning if they didn't 7 this DoD. Which I did. Yay!

Anal nerdiness: there's no comma in "Wherefore art thou Romeo?" because it means "Why are you Romeo?" and not "Where are you, Romeo?"

I am not a follower of

I am not a follower of Shakespeare's work. Nor do I play very many video games. I was quite surprised to know I got 7/7 on this.

Hmm, thought I'd do better than 5/7. Oh, well. I guess I'm pretty tired after our fifth-place finish in the trivia contest last night.

If I'm not mistaken, this would be the 100th DisOrDat.

Perfect DoD for nerds.

7/7 and 34/216. Not too shabby. And I am the ultimate nerd. I know both video games /and/ Shakespeare! Now to find that game...

This was easy, peasy, pie.

This was easy, peasy, pie. Although I admit I got the last one wrong. Still 6/7. Does that mean my life has SOME meaning? Or does the lack of a 7/7 still make me a total loser?

And 54/233. There just is no way to get #1. *sigh*

Finally a Dis or Dat that
